The Child Rights Advocacy Center (CRAC) is Miriam College\u2019s specialized center for advocacy on the promotion and protection of child rights. The center is the school\u2019s concrete and strategic response to its commitment to child-responsive policies, programs, processes, and practices through the creation and promotion of safe spaces for its students. This is done through collaboration with academic units, relevant offices, and other partner stakeholders. CRAC\u2019s main programs and areas of involvement are the following: policy development; advocacy; education; and training on child protection and safeguarding.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
The Child Rights Advocacy Center endeavors to uphold, promote and protect child\u2019s rights. CRAC as a resource and service center, in collaboration with academic units, relevant offices and organizations, and other partner stakeholders, shall pursue science-based policy development, implement regulatory and statutory requirements, and conduct education and training activities.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
The Child Rights Advocacy Center envisions itself to be a center of excellence advocating the promotion and protection of children\u2019s rights through policy development, education, partnership, and linkages, geared towards the development of future leaders who are empowered to make a stand in upholding a just and humane society.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t Raise awareness of stakeholders on child rights\u2019 issues and concerns<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t Integration of child\u2019s rights and responsibilities, and child protection in the curriculum, and practices<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t Build capacities of faculty, employees, administrators, parents and other stakeholders (both outside and inside MC) for child-responsive education, leadership, service, parenting and engagement through the conduct of learning sessions<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\tPROGRAMS AND AREAS OF INVOLVEMENT\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t
