Our Learning Programs and Approaches
Holistic Learning
Our holistic approach nurtures the whole child, addressing physical, socio-emotional, spiritual, and cognitive development. This foundation ensures children grow into well-rounded individuals ready to succeed.
Preschool Project-Based Learning (PBL)
The PBL program encourages children to investigate topics that interest them, whether related to themes like self, family, community, or environmental stewardship. This exploration cultivates curiosity and critical thinking.
Early Math Program
Our Early Math Program introduces concepts and skills aligned with the Grade School Math curriculum. Using the C-P-A Approach:
Concrete: Hands-on activities with objects such as blocks and everyday materials to develop counting, patterns, and shapes.
Pictorial: Using drawings and illustrations to represent ideas.
Abstract: Introducing symbols and numbers for processes like addition and subtraction.
Digital tools are also integrated to make learning Math engaging and effective.
L.E.A.D. (Learning Enhancement Achievement and Development) Program
This is part of the learning assistance program for students to provide supplemental instruction and reinforcement activities that may help students with their lessons in the classroom.
SPARK - enrichment classes
STEP - subject-preparation classes
PATHS - academic-achievement classes
BOOST - remedial classes
Hands-on and Play-based Learning
We integrate enjoyable and meaningful activities where children explore, experiment, and solve problems through imaginative and playful methods. Academic concepts in Math and Literacy are woven into these experiences, fostering essential life skills and a deeper understanding of the world.
Early Literacy Program: Lit Ladder
The Lit Ladder program builds foundational reading skills through a systematic and balanced-literacy approach. As students progress, they develop reading readiness and fluency while nurturing a love for books through engaging activities like Peek-a-Book sessions. This program targets multiple literacy domains to ensure long-term success.
B.R.A.V.E (Be Righteous And Virtuous Every day)
Rooted in Miriam Spirituality, the B.R.A.V.E program instills Christian values through songs, Bible stories, arts and crafts, and prayer. It fosters moral and spiritual growth, helping children embody the ideals of Miriam College.
