Classes typically start on the first week of August<\/strong> & end on the first week of May<\/strong>. We observe Philippine holidays and school holidays. We have a 2-week Christmas break and a 1-week semester break.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t First Step:\u00a0<\/strong> Nursery:\u00a0<\/strong> Kinder:\u00a0<\/strong> Grades 1 and 2:<\/strong> Grades 3 and 4:<\/strong> Grades 5 and 6:<\/strong> Grades 7 to 12:<\/strong> Determining the level of the child is based on the birthdate of the child. Our goal is to provide children with meaningful, age-appropriate activities so that children will experience early successes and ultimately develop the love for learning.<\/p> The cut-off date for level placement are the following:<\/p> First Step:<\/strong> students should 3 years old<\/strong> by September (no date) Kinder:<\/strong> students should be 5 years old<\/strong> by October<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Yes, preschool students should wear the prescribed preschool shirt and pants at school. The preschool shirt comes in different pastel colors- green, purple, blue, pink, and yellow. The preschool pants are available in khaki and gray. There is no prescribed color to be worn for each day.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t The school has a list of accredited bus operators who provide transportation service for different areas. The list will be posted during the Parents\u2019 Orientation. You may also request for a copy of the list from our Admissions Coordinator.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Our learner-centered curriculum utilizes a Project-Based Learning approach<\/strong> to teaching where children engage in diverse activities that give them meaningful opportunities to interact and collaborate with their peers and teachers. Our students also engage in design-thinking activities, where they are engaged to ask questions, explore, investigate, discover, problem-solve, create, and innovate.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t We use an efficient system of monitoring and evaluating student progress based on ongoing assessments. These include anecdotal records of the child\u2019s behavior and daily performance, performance-based and authentic assessments, portfolios, and narrative reports.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Homework is given, but we keep it light and manageable. We also ask children to do enrichment activities with their parents at home. The activities would vary but are not limited to paper and pencil activities.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t We follow the restorative discipline philosophy in processing discipline-related incidents. These measures are age-appropriate & are meant to help children understand the value of respect. Teachers take time to process the children by talking to them & making them understand why a certain behavior needs to be corrected<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Students are encouraged to bring their own nutritious snacks in reusable containers. Students may also order food from the school canteen.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t For the preschool, all school materials are included in the tuition fee. For Grades 1 to 12, a list of recommended\/prescribed school supplies will be provided during enrollment.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t We expect parents to be actively involved in their child\u2019s education. Studies have shown that students perform better when parents take an active role in school. You may volunteer to join class activities or sign up in any of the committees of the Parent-Teacher Association for both Clusters 1 and 2.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Basic Education Unit FAQs When do classes start and end?
