On September 24, 2025, the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) conducted a site visit at Miriam College Alviera to assess its readiness for new program offerings in Region 3.

Dr. Lora Yusi, Director of CHEDRO3, and her team, along with the RQAT, were welcomed by key members of the Miriam College community. The RQAT members included Dr. Eugene Mutuc (Entrepreneurship and Innovation), Dr. Edna Calma and Dr. John Mark Distor (Psychology), and Dr. Ruben Borja III (Early Childhood Education).

Present from Miriam College during the visit were OIC President Ms. Grace F. Favila, Assistant to the President Mrs. Cynthia Morales, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Trixie Sison, and Dean of Miriam College Alviera Dr. Mildred Sevilla. Also present were department chairpersons for the programs under review: Dr. Gail Reyes Galang (Psychology), Ms. April Easter Macan (Early Childhood Education), and Ms. Maria Cristina Asuncion (Entrepreneurship and Innovation).

The RQAT performed a detailed review of the college’s facilities, curricula, and faculty to ensure all programs comply with the quality standards set by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

“Together, let us inspire, innovate, and shape a brighter future—building the creative economy of Region III and the Philippines through education, creativity, and collaboration,” said Dr. Mildred Sevilla.
