BACHELOR OF ARTS IN
PSYCHOLOGY
The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology is a four-year undergraduate program that introduces students to the scientific study of human behavior and mental processes. The curriculum combines foundational courses in the major areas of psychology with training in research, assessment, and application in various fields. A distinctive feature of the program is its niche in integrated health and lifestyle, which highlights the interconnection of psychological wellbeing with physical health, social relationships, and balanced living. Through classroom learning, research projects, and practicum experiences, students are exposed to diverse cultural and professional contexts that prepare them for careers in human services, education, business, and health-related fields, as well as for further studies in psychology and allied disciplines.

By the end of the program, graduates will be able to:

Key Competencies Developed
By the end of the program, graduates will be able to develop the following key competencies: demonstrate critical thinking, research competence, application of psychological principles, ethical practice, interpersonal effectiveness, self-reflective learning, and assessment skills, all within a framework that is culturally grounded and socially responsive.
These competencies can be assessed through a variety of methods, including:
- First-Year Students: Knowledge-based and reflective assessments (e.g. quizzes,
journals, discussions, midyear and final exams) - Second-Year Students: Structured application and research-based assessments (e.g. mini-research, case studies, portfolios, midyear and final exams)
- Third-Year Students: Applied practice and integration types of assessments (e.g. role plays, practicum logs, research projects, midyear and final exams)
- Fourth-Year Students: independent and group authentic assessments (e.g. group thesis, practicum evaluation, midyear and final exams)

Potential Careers
A graduate of BA Psychology may qualify as a licensed psychometrician and pursue careers in research, teaching, healthcare, medicine and its allied fields.
