What is a makerspace?
A makerspace is a place of innovation where a community of learners can gather, tinker, discover, create, collaborate and find solutions to various problems utilizing tools in its different workstations or laboratories. The Miriam College – Henry Sy, Sr. Innovation Center (MC-HSSIC) is the Philippines’ first integrated makerspace.

Who uses the makerspace?
MC students of all levels, from basic education to higher education can work individually and collaboratively at the makerspace. This is where they transform their ideas into tangible and viable products or services that are solutions to identified problems. For example, middle and high school students may conduct experiments or explore robotics and coding while college students taking up applied arts or entrepreneurship may use the 3D printers to incubate new entrepreneurial ideas.
