LEARNING MODULES
Design, Leadership, and Management in Schools
By connecting principles and theories of school culture change and design thinking in analyzing formal, informal, and alternative school structures, you shall engage in problematizing two broad leadership frameworks: school-based management (SBM) and school-based knowledge and innovation management (SKIM).
Curriculum Development as Critical Design Practice
This module will “develop in learners the combined ability to judge knowledge, care for humanity, and solve problems making them significant designers of the 21st century” (Lin, 2014). It explores the integration of curriculum development and critical design practice to enrich human experience from primary to higher education.
Innovation in Learning Environments
By looking critically at the “fibers” and “fabrics” of educational structures and institutions, this module helps you examine creativity and innovation as conditions for transformative learning. How they are expressed, cultivated, translated, institutionalized, and sustained shall be of primary importance in this module.
School-based Innovation Project
This is not your typical thesis. In fact, it is an exciting documentation of your proposed and implemented innovative solution to a chosen issue or concern in your own learning environment. It is hoped to generate new ideas about school leadership, curriculum development, and innovation management that follow a human-centered fashion.
