Short-Term Student Exchange

The Short-Term Exchange Program offers students a brief but meaningful international experience, typically lasting one to four weeks. These programs focus on language learning, cultural immersion, academic enrichment, or thematic workshops in partnership with institutions abroad. Students engage in structured activities such as lectures, field visits, and collaborative projects, providing them with valuable exposure to global cultures and issues without the extended commitment of a full semester.

Short-Term Exchange Program

Japanese Language and Cultural Program with Kobe College, Osaka

From November 23 to 30, 2024, seven students from diverse disciplines—International Studies, Education, Design, Tourism, and Entrepreneurship—embarked on a meaningful cultural and linguistic journey through Kobe College’s Japanese Language and Cultural Program. Set against the backdrop of Japan’s breathtaking landscapes and rich heritage, the program offered a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Japanese language in an immersive environment. Beyond the classroom, students were able to explore the cultural richness of Japan through visits to historic Kyoto, vibrant Osaka, and the Osaka House of the Living—each offering a distinct lens into Japanese tradition, modernity, and community life.

Japanese Language and Cultural Program with Kobe College, Osaka

A group of four students from International Studies and Entrepreneurship took part in Kobe College’s Japanese Language and Cultural Program from December 15 to 22, 2023. They engaged in a week-long exploration of the language and cultural traditions. They participated in tea ceremonies, practiced calligraphy, and experienced the melodies of the koto, a traditional Japanese instrument. This immersive experience left a lasting impact on their academic journey, deepening their appreciation for Japanese culture.

Japanese Language and Cultural Program with Seisen University, Tokyo

The academic year 2022–2023 witnessed the much-awaited return of face-to-face student exchange programs. One remarkable accomplishment was the successful launch of the Japanese Language and Cultural Program (JLCP) in partnership with Seisen University in Japan. From June 5 to 11, 2023, eight talented students from different departments, including International Studies, Psychology, and Entrepreneurship, participated in this enriching experience. The JLCP went above and beyond, combining language classes, cultural workshops, interactive activities, and exciting excursions. Its curriculum aimed to strengthen language skills and cultivate a deep appreciation for the captivating Japanese culture. During their stay in Tokyo, the students had the opportunity to visit iconic locations such as Shibuya, Meiji Shrine, and Tokyo TeamLab. These excursions offered a glimpse into Japan’s vibrant urban life, spiritual heritage, and innovative art scene, deepening the participants’ understanding of both traditional and contemporary Japanese society.
