WAGI organized a Knowledge Exchange Forum (KEF) on Gender Sensitive and Transformative Approaches to Peacebuiliding in Mindanao on May 19-20, 2023 at N’Hotel, Cagayan de Oro. This KEF is part of the Strengthening the Implementation of Regional and Local Peace and Development Agendas in Mindanao (SPADe) / MinPAD-RISE Project by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
The KEF was participated by 21 organizations from Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Zamboanga, Sulu, Maguindanao and Davao del Sur. During the forum, these organizations enthusiastically shared their best practices, focusing on transforming peace building efforts in Mindanao. The discussions revolved around various crucial aspects, including factors that either promoted or hindered their initatives, comprehensive assessments of the impact their projects had, as well as the sustainabilty and potential replicability of their successful initiatives among others. The KEF served as a platform for insightful knowledge exchange and fostered a collaborative atmosphere for advancing peace-building endeavors in the region.
