The Women and Gender Institute was invited by the Miriam College – Basic Education Unit (BEU)’s Department of Filipino and Social Studies to discuss Women Empowerment via Zoom Communications Platform last April 28, 2023. Over 200 Grade 5 students actively participated during the discussion on the concept on Gender, Empowerment, Consent, and Diversity.  

The students how gender is socialized in various ways such as influences from peers and media. They also learned the concept of personal boundaries, and the things outside and of their control. It wrapped with how the five senses sets as a reminder for women empowerment.
