The Women and Gender Institute (WAGI) was invited to discuss the Module on Gender Concepts and Socialization in GEE 2.1 Gender Responsive and Entrepreneurial Mindsets for Innovative Thinking on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
The module provided an overview of the social and cultural understanding of gender and the processes by which individuals learn and internalize gender roles and expectations. It explores ways in which gender concepts vary across cultures and how they impact the experiences and opportunities of individuals across different social contexts.
Similarly, on October 7, 2023, the Women and Gender Institute (WAGI) was invited to discuss the Basic Gender Concepts, International and National Mandates, and Understanding Violence against Women (VAW) and Sexual Harassment for an NSTP class.
These modules served as an orientation to NSTP students, equipping them a gender lens to strengthen their perspectives and mindsets in crafting their advocacy projects.
