The Environmental Studies Institute, together with Ms. Mila Serrana and Ms. Tessa Oliva of Green Convergence, were invited to hold plenary sessions and conduct environmental activities for Miriam College Nuvali’s Advocacy Week 2026 last March 17-18, 2026.
Sr. Marvie discussed Laudato Si, and MC’s actions with the movement to Grades 4-6. Ms. Mila led Grade 11 and 12 students through the Ako Ang Bukas household/personal Greenhouse Gas calculator web app, allowing them to be aware of their carbon footprint and find ways to reduce it. Finally, Ms. Imelda guided a reflection session for Grades 7-10 after their film showing of the ALON: A Documentary on Plastic Waste.
Besides the talks, ESI also lended MC Nuvali with environmental books which were used for Environmental Storytelling for the younger students.
