Miriam College Grade School
Miriam College Grade School (MCGS) is a second home to children from preschool to pre-adolescent age. It offers a 9-level educational program for the formative years, starting from early childhood (First Step, Nursery, and Kindergarten) to Grade 6.
The curriculum promotes active and meaningful learning to develop 21st-century skills and competencies through a progressive educational philosophy, which is characterized by putting students at the center of the learning process and supported by a strong sense of community between students, teachers, and parents.
Lessons become more relevant as they are anchored on an environmental or societal context and linked to character and values formation. Through integration, students are able to find connections to real-world applications and develop empathy, compassion, and globally-responsive citizenship. By focusing on holistic and multidimensional development, the Grade School produces confident and happy learners.

Effective Communication
We encourage students to speak their minds and discuss ideas. Our Language and FIlipino classes are taught this way. We understand that language is purposeful, so we use them in context.
Leadership Training
We give students opportunities to become leaders as class and club officers. We have a Council of Leaders which is our version of student government. Potential leaders undergo workshops and seminars to equip them with leadership skills.
Heart for Service
We have an outreach program called Kapitbahay that gives us a chance to interact with children from our partner communities. Can you imagine going on a field trip and doing outreach at the same time? At MCGS, we do just that!
S.T.E.M.
We expose our students to activities that make us enjoy the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). We also have a Robotics Camp where our students apply what they learn in science, mathematics, and computer lessons.
