Miriam College

Miriam College is a premier Catholic educational institution founded by the Maryknoll Sisters of New York in 1926. It offers academic programs at the basic and tertiary levels through its main campus in Loyola Heights, Quezon City. Its growing MC Nuvali campus in Calamba, Laguna offers coeducational basic education, while its third campus, MC Alviera in Porac, Pampanga, expanded the institution’s reach with the opening of its coeducational Basic Education Unit in 2025 and the launch of its coeducational Higher Education Unit in 2026.

Across all its campuses and units, the institution continues to uphold excellent educational standards through regular curriculum and program enhancement, the formation of strategic international and local partnerships, the maintenance of a competent faculty base, and strengthened teaching and learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). These initiatives aim to prepare students to thrive in the fields of the future.

ENROLLMENT

Miriam College’s Quezon City and Laguna campuses have combined population of more than 7,000 students coming from the Basic and Higher Education units. The campus in Laguna, Miriam College Nuvali, is currently on its 10th year of operation.

FACULTY

We have a roster of subject matter experts who drive the mission of Miriam College with their commitment to the academic development of students as they prepare them for the real world

ADVOCACY

We aim to make a contribution to country and society by striving to build a culture of peace, upholding gender equality, protecting children’s rights, and helping save the environment through our advocacy centers whose programs are integrated in curricular and co-curricular activities

SPIRITUALITY

Accompanied by Mary, the Christ bearer, our Miriam spirituality leads us to follow Jesus who brings us in the Spirit to God. Jesus’ greatest disciple and follower is Mary, His mother and ours. Miriam spirituality is Christ-centered, Catholic, Lay, Missionary, and Filipino, embodying the Gospel values of truth, justice, peace and integrity of creation. Inspired by the Maryknoll legacy, rooted in the person of Jesus Christ, and lived by Miriam of Nazareth, Miriam Spirituality empowers our community to lead in mission, communion, and service.

DARK GREEN

Miriam College was cited as a “Dark Green School” by the Philippine Network of Educators on Environment (PNEE) in 2009. We implement eco-friendly policies in academics and in areas such as administration, outreach, campus planning, and solid waste management.

LOCATION

Our main campus is located in Katipunan Avenue, Loyola Heights in Diliman…This has been the home of Maryknoll-Miriam College since 1953. Katipunan Avenue is a thriving business commercial area which showcases top universities, varied commercial establishments such as malls, restaurants, study areas, dormitories and newly developed condominiums. Our school is strategically located and is therefore highly accessible to the rest of Quezon City and the rest of Metro Manila.

CAMPUS

At the heart of our Quezon City campus is a 2-hectare green space we call Mini-Forest park. In our campus in NUVALI, we allocate 50% of the land as green open spaces. Aside from preserving the flora and fauna biodiversity in our campuses, these areas serve as a model for living in perfect harmony and coexistence with nature.

SAFETY

Miriam College has plan in place ensure to mitigate of major emergencies and disasters affecting the campus, including earthquakes, fires or explosions, medical emergencies and more. Our security department works 24/7 to ensure the safety of everyone within the campus

Alongside these efforts, Miriam College supports specialized centers engaged in research, community outreach, and advocacy work that help develop competent, compassionate, and principled individuals.
