Welcome to

Miriam College Senior High School

Miriam College High School or MCHS is known for its holistic college preparatory program. We take pride in a student-centered curriculum marked by academic excellence. Our girls are academically prepared to pursue their chosen career tracks and passions in attaining their life goals. Here at the High School, we teach students to be resilient, independent, innovative, and creative, making sure they carry with them values nurtured by a good Christian and Catholic education. They care about the environment; are strong in living out truth and justice; are morally upright; have unquestionable integrity, and they find fulfillment in helping and empowering the oppressed and marginalized sectors of our society much like Miriam of Nazareth.

Why Choose Miriam College High School?

The MCHS SHS Program aims to equip students with sufficient competence to accomplish academic tasks in preparation for collegiate or university coursework. The curriculum is intended to enable students to master the skills necessary in their chosen field of study. It is intended to nurture and develop their passion on prospective career paths. It is a holistic academic program that aims to prepare students in meeting the challenges, rigors and hopefully even exceed expectations and requirements of tertiary education. Its curriculum is rooted in an education program, one that is empowering, student-centered, innovative and relevant. Marked by academic excellence, the SHS program aims to teach students to be resilient, independent, creative, and resourceful through its various academic, extra-curricular and social action activities. Students are immersed in learning activities related to the strand of their choice— STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), HUMSS (Humanities and Social Sciences) and ABM (Accountancy, Business and Management). Providing a learning environment that involves the development of competence in the use of at least two different languages—Filipino and English. SHS students in MCHS gain a deeper understanding of their identity, community, nation and the world as they complete their core, applied and specialized subjects in SHS.

9 Pillars of Greatness

The Pillars of Greatness

INNOVATE, INQUIRE, INTERACT, IMMERSE, INITIATE, INVENT, IMPROVE, IMPACT, and INSPIRE

The pillars are tangible reminders for the entire MCHS community, especially the young women it serves, of the manageable steps needed to make it great in this world. Through these pillars, we link our learners and their mentors to the legacy of greatness started by the Maryknoll Sisters who founded the school more than 90 years ago.

Student Testimonials

What They Say

Angela M. Doctor

Grade 11 Batch Representative
Miriam College supports its students’ growth by presenting numerous opportunities, academically and otherwise. I was given the chance to sing for the school and for the country as a member of the MCHS Glee Club, and a chance to serve the community through the MCHS Student Council. Even though I face challenges and difficult situations as a student leader, I continue to learn how to adapt and to be resilient. Despite the ups and downs of being a student, MC has raised and shaped me to become the confident, empowered, and independent young lady that I am today.

Isabelle Nadyn D. Ilagan

Grade 12 Student Council President
For the past years of being a member of the Student Council, I have realized the true meaning of service as we implement projects for the MCHS community like the annual MCHS Fair and Acquaintance Day. These experiences and opportunities have taught me to serve with a heart that is always with and for the community. Now, with the lessons and experiences I have gained, I have grown to love the service that I do for others, whether through big or small actions, which have helped me grow into the person I am today.
