Intensive English Program
(For International Students Only)
The curriculum in this program hones the listening, speaking, writing, and reading competencies of the learners. Students are given ample opportunities to increase their fluency and accuracy in using English in varied settings. Learners are classified as Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced based on the result of the placement assessment. The language learning experiences are designed to suit their needs, interests, and proficiency level.
ESL/EFL Program
Intensive English and Philippine Culture Program
(For International Students Only)
These programs combine Intensive English instruction with cultural immersion components. The English lessons are enhanced with the inclusion of alternative activities such as Philippine Studies, community immersions, and cultural tours in the following destinations: Old Manila, Intramuros, Chinatown, Quezon City Tour, Greenhills, Subic, Tagaytay, Corregidor, and Villa Escudero.
English for Academic Purposes
The Content Area Literacy and Language (CALL)- This course enables the undergraduate students to read complex academic texts in the varied disciplines. Students are also engaged in meaningful language learning activities that cultivate their skill in using English purposively and accurately.Â
The Academic Writing for Undergraduate Students- This course focuses on the development and enhancement of the undergraduate students’ writing skill to adequately prepare them for the various required writing tasks and writing demands of the tertiary level.Â
Academic Writing for Graduate Students- This enrichment course focuses on outcomes-based and assessment-driven language learning experiences. It provides students with opportunities to master the process of writing an academic paper.Â
English for Professional Success
English for Human Resources, Accounting, Marketing, Law, and Advertising
These highly specialized courses are designed to equip professionals with communication competencies that are necessary to succeed in their respective workplace settings.
Oral Communication in the Workplace
This course focuses on basic oral communication in the workplace, including etiquette in handling calls and showing courtesy and felicity in accepting clients, students/parents, and other visitors in the workplace.
The Cs in Effective Business Writing
This course focuses on writing effectively in business and academic contexts for personal or professional development.
Active and Interactive Listening
This seminar-workshop is designed to develop the effective communication skills of the participant through enhancing active and interactive listening skills.
