Welcome to

Miriam College Junior High School

Miriam College High School or MCHS is known for its holistic college preparatory program. We take pride in a student-centered curriculum marked by academic excellence. Our girls are academically prepared to pursue their chosen career tracks and passions in attaining their life goals. Here at the High School, we teach students to be resilient, independent, innovative, and creative, making sure they carry with them values nurtured by a good Christian and Catholic education. They care about the environment; strong in living out truth and justice; are morally upright; have unquestionable integrity, and they find fulfillment in helping and empowering the oppressed and marginalized sectors of our society much like Miriam of Nazareth.

Why Choose Miriam College High School?

Miriam College High School offers a college- preparatory academic program that covers the four years of Junior High School and the two years of Senior High School. The curriculum features the interaction of nine subject areas. The curriculum is also designed to meet the goals of integrative and transformative education. The four institutional core values of truth, peace, justice, and the integrity of creation serve as overarching themes for the delivery of learning opportunities.

Miriam College High School has adapted the Project-Based Learning (PBL) pedagogy across all its subjects. This is an innovative pedagogy that hopes to balance the benefits of traditional and progressive approaches to learning and teaching. Together with the principles of Design Thinking, Miriam College High School students will be tasked with designing their own solutions to their own uniquely defined problem through three cyclical stages. In the process, they are able to apply knowledge learned from various subject areas.

9 Pillars of Greatness

The Pillars of Greatness spell out the words

INNOVATE, INQUIRE, INTERACT, IMMERSE, INITIATE, INVENT, IMPROVE, IMPACT, and INSPIRE

The pillars are tangible reminders for the entire MCHS community, especially the young women it serves, of the manageable steps needed to make it great in this world. Through these pillars, we link our learners and their mentors to the legacy of greatness started by the Maryknoll Sisters who founded the school more than 90 years ago.

Testimonials

What They Say

Marianna Caitlyn C. Barriento

Grade 8 Batch Representative
As a Knoller since Nursery, Miriam College taught me the core values and Miriam ideals not just to apply in school, but also in life. As I grew older, I got inspired to become a leader when I would see upper batches plan various school events. Despite many challenges I face, I was taught to adapt to any situation and find innovative ways to face and address these problems.
MCHS taught me to always reach for my goals and strive towards my dream while balancing every aspect of my life. I can do all these because I am a Knoller.

Melinda C. Domingo

Grade 9 Parent Officer
Miriam College fosters a strong sense of community and creates opportunities for parents, teachers, and students to connect. This collaboration enhances the educational experience and provides a network of support for both students and families. I believe that here in MC, my child can grow not just academically but also as a compassionate, well-rounded individual, ready to engage positively with the world around her.

Jessica J. Plana

Family Council Executive Board Adviser
Mothers choose Miriam College for their daughters because of its strong emphasis on holistic education and values instilled by Mother Mary Joseph,  its foundress,  and the Maryknoll Sisters. The school creates an empowering environment that nurtures future women leaders, ensuring they develop both academically and personally. Through its dedicated teachers and supportive Family Council community, Miriam College shapes students into confident, compassionate individuals ready to make meaningful contributions to society. The final years of high school effectively prepare the  girls for the challenges of college and beyond, equipping them with essential skills and resilience for their future.
