Digital DESIGN Technology
The Associate in Digital Design Technology (ADDT) is a two-year associate degree program that prepares students for creative careers in digital media, design, and emerging technologies. The program integrates design theory, digital tools, and hands-on creative production to help students develop skills in visual communication, digital imaging, photography, web design, motion graphics, and digital marketing.
Students learn to conceptualize and produce digital content using professional design workflows while building a portfolio of creative projects. Through practical coursework and industry exposure, graduates develop the technical and creative competencies needed for work in the digital media and creative industries.
The program also provides a pathway for students who wish to pursue further studies in related degree programs such as the Bachelor of Design and other creative disciplines.

What Will I Study?

This course introduces the foundations of digital design and visual communication. Students explore design elements, composition, and creative problem-solving while learning how digital tools are used to produce engaging visual content.
Students learn the principles of photography including lighting, composition, camera techniques, and digital image editing. The course focuses on producing professional-quality photographs and developing visual storytelling skills.
This course develops students’ ability to create realistic digital illustrations and visual representations using rendering techniques. Students explore shading, lighting, texture, and digital tools used in visual design and creative production.
Students learn to design professional print and digital materials such as posters, brochures, newsletters, and marketing materials using industry-standard design software.
This course introduces the fundamentals of creating websites using modern web technologies. Students learn how to design visually engaging and functional web pages while applying principles of user experience and accessibility.
Students learn how to transform static designs into animated visual content. The course introduces animation techniques used in digital storytelling, advertising, and multimedia presentations.
This course focuses on creating and managing content for digital platforms. Students learn how to produce multimedia content and communicate ideas effectively using digital media tools.
Students explore how design and media are used in online marketing campaigns. Topics include social media marketing, digital advertising, and creating engaging promotional content.
Students explore new developments shaping the digital media industry, including artificial intelligence, interactive media, and emerging digital platforms used by content creators.
