International Business Administration with specialization in Marketing

The Bachelor of Science of International Business Administration with specialization in Marketing provides learners with a depth of understanding of various marketing and organizational communication functions. Graduates will gain a broad range of marketing management skills and techniques, including context for strategic management and planning, and opportunity to add depth in the areas of marketing communications management, sales management, and marketing analysis. Applied, experiential learning is an important and integrated part of the program. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities available to them to participate in an optional applied work experience during their program of study. Students of this program will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration with specialization in Marketing jointly awarded by Camosun College and Miriam College.

The Bachelor of International Business Administration with specialization in Marketing

  • Enable students to synthesize diverse marketing functions and apply them effectively to meet business objectives.

  • Equip students to craft, execute, and evaluate comprehensive marketing plans integrating business, management, and marketing principles.

  • Develop students’ capacity to employ analytical strategies and adeptly manage data across all facets of marketing activities.

  • Provide a wide array of skills and techniques necessary for strategic planning, management, and execution of marketing programs tailored for small businesses and non-profit organizations.

  • Cultivate leadership abilities that enable students to lead and collaborate with teams effectively to achieve organizational marketing objectives.

  • Integrate knowledge of diversity and inclusion principles into collaborative marketing practices for fostering comprehensive and inclusive strategies.

  • Demonstrate and instill professional and ethical behavior essential for maintaining credibility and integrity as a marketing professional.

What Will I Study?

By the end of the program, graduates will be able to:

Demonstrate Miriam College's core values to seamlessly blend Filipino cultural principles with a global perspective, enabling adept leadership, authentic engagement, and selfless service to diverse communities.
Integrate knowledge of marketing functions to meet business needs and goals.
Create, implement and evaluate an integrated marketing plan that reflects sound business, management and marketing concepts, principles and practices.
Use analytical strategies and data management principles in all aspects of marketing.
Develop a broad range of skills and techniques to strategically plan, manage and implement marketing programs.
Lead and collaborate with others in positive and constructive ways to achieve organizational marketing goals.
Integrate knowledge of Indigenization, diversity and inclusion in collaborating with others.
Demonstrate and model professional and ethical behaviour as a marketing professional.

This dual awards program is jointly offered by Miriam College and Camosun College, Victoria British Columbia, Canada

Graduates of this program may venture on the following careers:

  • Graduates work in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, including Marketing, Communications or Information Officers;
  • Business Development Managers;
  • Marketing Managers/Coordinators;
  • Public Relations Officers, Research Officers;
