Tourism Management
The Bachelor of Tourism Management program is a 4-year professional degree program designed to prepare, develop, and empower students to become leaders in the dynamic and competitive industry of tourism, travel, leisure, and hospitality. Acknowledging the full potential of globalization and various tourism phenomena and opportunities, this program aims to prepare and expose students to local, national, and international contexts to become competent, confident, and conscientious leaders in the field of tourism working for a wide spectrum of culturally diverse environments. As an interdisciplinary, the program focuses on the interrelated areas of tourism and business management and leadership. Specifically, the program integrates the management, and leadership of recreation and leisure attractions, hospitality services and facilities, and events management, provides expertise on travel and tour needs and wants of various clientele, and cultivates an understanding of how tourism as a system promotes sustainability. The program integrates theory and practice through various learning experiences and opportunities for a holistic of formation to become leaders in the field.

What Will I Study?
Tourism Management will prepare you for various set of skills such as decision-making strategies particularly in managing client’s concerns, attending to details, safety and security in travel and tours, communicating effectively with tourism stakeholders and demonstrate customized service. Aligned with the ASEAN Competency Standards for Tourism Professionals, we will provide you competencies that will demonstrating your personal pride in recognizing, preserving and promoting sustainable tourism, cultural heritage and ecotourism concerns that are timely in providing memorable experiences to the clients. In addition, you will be exposed in the various incubation laboratories, namely: The Travel Bureau, Maker’s Café and MC Residence Hall that will make your learning experiential as we prepare you to become tourism professionals.

Career Paths
- As a tourism professional, you can be career leaders in the field of aviation, travel and tour agencies, tour guides, travel consultants and the like
- As a hospitality professional, you can be hotel manager, events manager, food and beverage manager, entertainment manager
- You can also be considered as a tourism entrepreneurs specifically in the tourism retail, tourism product development, arts and culture, and tourism
