Welcome to
Skills Development and Technical Education Center (sdtec)
Miriam College Skills Development and Technical Education Center (MC SDTEC) is a nurturing learning environment that offers inclusive, relevant and accessible education committed towards making a difference in the lives of underprivileged youth and adult learners.
MC SDTEC education is rooted in the legacy of the Maryknoll sisters of providing quality and affordable education to underprivileged adults and out-of-school youth in the 1960s.
Today, we offer Senior High School, Junior High School, Alternative Learning System (ALS) and Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Programs. Classes in these programs are conducted during the afternoon and evening. Â Evening classes allow the students to work during the day.
As we accept the challenge of 21st-century learning, online and face-to-face classes are conducted at all levels. Â This assures learners of uninterrupted and limitless learning.
Through these programs, we aim to equip students with the necessary life skills, knowledge and values to help them improve their lives.

Dianne Salazar
Graduate of Bread and Pastry Produciton NC II, 2017
My being deaf is not a barrier. I may be disabled because I cannot hear but I am definitely not handicapped because the environment where I was raised and where I am now allow me to function normally. My education with MAE paved the way to another opportunity. Finishing Bread and Pastry Production made me dream of having a deaf café in the future where I can hire deaf employees.

MAE was instrumental in achieving the skills that were necessary for me to properly do my work as a young teacher then. Not only did I learn the hard skills like typing and electricity, but more importantly I learned soft skills such as character, love of work, how to value time, respect and thanksgiving.
