This year marks 30 years since the Beijing Declaration, a landmark in the global movement for gender equality. The United Nations theme, “The girl I am, the change I lead: Girls on the frontlines of crisis,” honors girls who are leading change in their communities despite the challenges they face.
At Miriam College, this spirit lives strongly in our students. Every Knoller is encouraged to see herself not only as a future leader but as one who already makes a difference through her words, choices, and actions.
Through their personal declarations, this video celebrates girls’ leadership in many forms, including acts of kindness, courage, creativity, service, and more. Each declaration serves as a powerful reminder that leadership begins with knowing who you are and what you stand for.
