Loyola Heights, Quezon City — British Columbia’s Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills (PSFS) Minister, Hon. Selina Robinson (right), recently visited Miriam College (MC) to show support for the college’s ongoing collaboration with Camosun, one of British Columbia’s top public colleges. The PSFS provides leadership and direction for higher education and skills training systems in British Columbia as well as labor market information and programs. Welcoming Minister Robinson was Miriam College President, Amb. Laura Quiambao-Del Rosario (left), who gave a brief background of the school, its programs, and its co-educational campuses expansions in Laguna and Pampanga. In her message, Minister Robinson said she looks forward to how Miriam College, particularly MC Alviera’s partnership with Camosun, will bring out opportunities and innovations in terms of providing skills and harnessing talents for the next generation especially in the field of Early Childhood Education. Currently, Camosun and Miriam College Alviera, Miriam College’s third and newest campus in Porac, Pampanga, has partnered for three reciprocal cluster programs on business, health & human services, and technology. The programs will give students of both campuses the opportunity to pursue post graduate studies, earn undergraduate degrees, engage in academic and cultural exchanges, and work or get an internship in Canada. MC Alviera is set to open its Higher Education programs to student in the south in September 2023.
