The Center for Strategic Research, Creativity, and Intellectual Property (CSRCIP) successfully launched six new publications at the KHC Library, Miriam College Last September 15, 2025.
“Namumukadkad: Critical Thinking in Research & Creative Expression” featured the release of LEAPS Faculty Research Journal Volumes 45–49 and BUKAD Institutional Literary Folio Volume 8. The afternoon bloomed with research sharing, poetry readings, musical performances, and lively conversations that celebrated the diversity and depth of academic and creative work at Miriam College.
In her opening remarks, CSRCIP Director Dr. Carmen Peñalosa explained that “critical thinking is the hallmark of rigor in research, and the engine that sharpens creativity.” According to her, “while critical thinking is the cornerstone of the scientific mindset that is responsible for the production of ethical research, it also pushes creativity beyond self-expression and into meaningful communication, for both its creators and their audience.” Meanwhile, Miriam College OIC President Ms. Grace Favila extended her congratulations to the authors and acknowledged the school’s researchers and artists as co-creators with God. She shared her hopes that the community remain committed to this important task.
