Music Center

Home » Music Center

The Miriam College Music Center is a nurturing hub for musical growth and expression. It is a learning community where students and teachers come together to explore music with joy, discipline, and purpose. Rooted in values-based education, the Center fosters not only musical skill and creativity but also character and confidence.

We welcome learners of all ages and levels—
from young beginners to adult enthusiasts,
from Miriam College and the wider
community.

Students conclude each school year with a culminating concert at our very own La Porte Hall.

Founded in 1954 by Ms. Gregoria Cayco with the support of then Maryknoll President Miriam Thomas Thornton, the Center has grown from a small piano studio into a vibrant home for music education. Today, it continues to evolve—upgrading its programs and facilities while keeping the spirit of meaningful, joyful learning at its core.

"The Music Center really helped me discover how much I love performing and playing with others. It's where I learned that music isn't just about getting the notes right - it's about sharing joy and connecting with people.
Bianca S., Grade 11 Student
"As a former student and now a parent, I'm grateful that the same warmth and excellence I experienced at the Music Center continue to shape my daughters. It's more than just music - it's family, values, and growth."
Maria Francesca A., Parent
"What I love most about the Music Center is how supportive the teachers are. They're patient, encouraging, and they always believe in us. I've grown so much because of their guidance and the community they've built."
