In the aftermath of natural disasters, communities often face immense challenges in rebuilding and recovery. When the super typhoon Egay swept through Fuga Island off Aparri in Cagayan and Northern provinces, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake, the compassionate response of volunteers became a beacon of hope. That is when Miriam College took the initiative through Miriam College MISMOÂ and opened its doors for donations on August 2, 2023.
From the warmth of family homes, both parents and students from the BEU and HEU communities, as well as other external donors, donated various necessities the victims needed. Their donations were then sorted and collected by the Lingkod Mag-aaral Volunteers from August 10 to August 17, 2023. Earlier today, August 18, 2023, the donations were picked up by the Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc.
It is with joyful and grateful hearts that we take this opportunity to give thanks to everyone who donated and gave time to helping our devastated countrymen. It truly is a #Knoller trait to help and serve the people.
