Psychology major in Developmental Psychology
The MC Psychology Graduate Program offers thesis and non-thesis masteral-level degrees with concentration in Developmental Psychology. These programs offer comprehensive and substantive training through scholarly research and actual field practice with emphasis on life-span developmental issues — from infancy to adulthood. Developmental issues and problems as they affect the family structure and dynamics will also be a major focus of the course.
- Master of Arts in Psychology, major in Developmental Psychology (thesis)
A thesis culminates the students’ academic learning experience. It provides the student with the means to display mastery of research skills in contributing to knowledge in Psychology. The thesis will reflect the ability to conduct research and write the research report in a scholarly manner worthy of publication. - Master of Psychology, major in Developmental Psychology (non-thesis)
A practice-based capstone project culminates the student’s academic learning experience. It provides the student with an opportunity to exhibit the knowledge and skills obtained during the course of the graduate study. The project indicates the student’s acquisition of learning.
At the end of the program, graduates may work towards a certification as a specialist in Developmental Psychology. They may also become Human Development Specialists engaging in assessment and evaluation, therapy and program development, research, and assessment in developmental psychology.
