SDG 13: Climate Action

Miriam College’s commitment to climate action is institutionalized through the Environmental Studies Institute (ESI), a pioneering hub for advocacy with a legacy dating back to the early 1970s. Guided by the values of Integrity of Creation, and the principles of integral ecology in Laudatu Si, ESI integrates environmental commitments into research, curriculum, and community outreach. Through strategic partnerships and direct collaboration with local communities, the institution remains at the forefront of reducing carbon emissions and providing environmental education for those most affected by the climate crisis.
