This program is designed to prepare its graduates to become career specialists and decision makers in the leisure and tourism industries globally. It aims to provide a viable and continuous pool of competent and talented manpower trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of the leisure and tourism industries, ready to take on management and leadership tasks anytime and anywhere in the world. Specifically, the program integrates the management, operation and leadership of recreation and leisure attractions, facilities, and services, provide expertise on travel needs and wants of various clienteles and cultivates understanding on how tourism as system promotes sustainability. What Will I Study?
By the end of the program, graduates will be able to:
- Demonstrate Miriam College’s core values to seamlessly blend Filipino cultural principles with a global perspective, enabling adept leadership, authentic engagement, and selfless service to diverse communities.
- Work effectively and independently in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team’s tourism service-oriented business organization.
- Apply management and business concepts and skills that underline each of the functional areas of business (Marketing, finance, human resources, operations management, information technology and strategic management) and employ these concepts in various business situations.
- Manage and market a tourism service-oriented business organization.
- Plan, develop, implement, utilize various communication channels proficiently in dealing with guests and colleagues and evaluate tourism sites and attractions.

- Advise and guide the development and implementation of Human Resources legislation, practices, standards and policies.
- Operationalize policies, procedures and initiatives that support the development of human resources.
- Provide leadership in the accomplishment of organizational goals and the development, implementation and evaluation of strategy.

Career Paths
Upon completion of the program students may work in a variety of sectors such as education, counseling, destination marketing, tourism operations, business or recreation in leadership or program design roles.
