College students from the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education (SASE) and the School of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy (SBEA) enjoyed a meaningful day of learning and fun through insightful sessions on journalism, news, and media led by esteemed speakers, with the event’s opening remarks delivered by our Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Trixie Sison.
Veteran Broadcast Journalist and ANC Anchor Mr. Rico Hizon, Ms. Miranda De Quiroz (Editorial Head, ABS-CBN News Digital), Mr. Ariel Rojas (Resident Meteorologist, ABS-CBN News), and Ms. Dabet Panelo (Research and Training Officer, Bayan Mo, Ipatrol Mo) generously shared their expertise and experiences with our Knollers.
In preparation for the event, volunteer students from the BA Communication program underwent a workshop a day prior and applied their learnings as production staff and crew of Campus Patrol.
The program was hosted by ABS-CBN Star Patrollers Andrea Taguines, Michael Delizo, and Ganiel Krishnan, along with Miriam College’s very own Allister Ting and Gratiana Hann Francisco. This collaborative effort was made possible through the Office of Student Affairs, SASE, and SBEA.
