Last October 9, the MCHS community commemorated the 70th Death Anniversary of Mother Mary Joseph (1882-1955), the foundress of the Maryknoll Sisters of St. Dominic. A short program was held near MMJ’s bust at the High School Entrance during lunch time. This was participated by the faith-formation clubs and organizations of the High School namely: the Campus Ministry Auxiliary, the Student Catholic Action, the Sodality of Mary, and the Student Council.
The highlight of the program was the reflection sharing of three members of the High School community: the Student Council President, Angelia Vinnie L. Del Rosario; the 2025 Amazing Alumni Teacher Awardee and PE and Health Teacher, Ms. Leanne E. Alonso, and the High School Principal, Ms. Sofia Soledad DG. De Guzman. They shared how the Maryknoll spirit continues to inspire and motivate them in the teaching and learning process and in the programs and activities they build for the Miriam community and the communities it serves.
