Miriam College, School of Arts, Sciences and Education, Department of Arts and Design, warmly receives the entourage visit of the Vice President for Finance of University of the Northeastern Philippines Madam Delicia Alfelor-Tibi, also recognized as MC100’s 2018 Amazing Alumni Award 2018 aka the Triple A awardee, as well as the Executive Director of the UNEP’s Circle of Consummate Artists; Vice President for Research and Creative Works Honorable Rudyard Contreras Pesimo, also recognized as the Artistic Director of UNEP’s Circle of Consummate Artists and an incumbent Punong Barangay of Santa Clara, Buhi, Camarines Sur; and, Technical Consultant for Marketing and Communications of UNEP Ms. Leanne Montemayor held earlier October 10, 2025, 10:00am in the morning.
Weeks ago, September 22, 2025 made history for MC (see attached website and fb page site links for the Bachelor of Design Immersion Tour 2025 in Bicol) as it welcomes the partnership with UNEP covering its key features to strengthen ties as well as promote mutually as agreed upon the proliferation of arts and culture in both institutions, enrichment sharing of research and creative works, possible academic exchanges between faculty and students among other pertinent provisions.
Their visits are cordially a courtesy action from UNEP to our MC’s beloved academic administrators and officials: MC President Grace Favila, Asst. President Cynthia Morales, Director for Alumni Engagement Office Dr. Margarita Acosta, Director for Center for Strategic Research, Creativity, and Intellectual Property Dr. Carmen Peñalosa, Director for Global Relations and Partnerships Office Ms. Carolyn Ui, and Dean of the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education Dr. Francis Julius N. Evangelista.
Exciting partnerships come to life in the succeeding three-year memorandum of understanding initiated by the Program Chairperson of the Department of Arts and Design Dr. Geofferson Ting between UNEP and the unit’s ambition to establish Arts and Design in the MC community through practice-based and service-learning endeavors as UNEP wishes to contribute, one way or another, in celebration of MC’s centennial year this 2026. This unique entourage has been officially documented by the Marketing and Communications Office led by Ms. Nancy Concepcion.
