Our voice program nurtures confident and expressive singers through proper breathing and vocal techniques, always tailored to each student’s unique range and style. Repertoire spans from Kundiman and classical pieces to Broadway hits and contemporary favorites, ensuring a rich and exciting journey in music. With frequent recitals, concerts, and ensemble collaborations, students of all ages enjoy both personal growth and the joy of performing as part of a vibrant community.

Frederick C. de Santos
Frederick, a tenor and alumnus of the Philippine High School for the Arts and the University of the Philippines College of Music, has performed major choral works like Mozart’s Requiem and Carmina Burana, and played lead roles in operas such as La Traviata and Madame Butterfly. A former member of the Philippine Madrigal Singers and San Miguel Master Chorale, he now performs with Koro Madrigal, teaches voice at Miriam College, and serves as the musical director for various choirs.
Cynthia C. Guico
Cynthia is a soprano, performer, and voice teacher, and the recipient of the 2016 Aliw Award for Best Female Classical Singer. She has performed musicals, operas, zarzuelas, and straight plays with major theater companies, and a soloist in various concerts. Internationally, she has performed Off-Broadway and in the North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia, in both theater productions and concerts. A graduate of the University of the Philippines and an alumna of the UP Concert Chorus, Cynthia has taught at the UP CMu Extension Program and the Philippine Opera Company, among others. She has been teaching at the Miriam College Music Center since 2000.
Anna Maureen P. Malamug
Anna Maureen “Maan” Malamug, a vocal instructor at the University of the
Philippines College of Music and TAII Musikaskwela, has performed in opera roles
like Adalgisa in Norma and Zerlina in Don Giovanni, and participated in notable choral festivals. A former member of the San Miguel Master Chorale and soloist for the Bayanihan Philippine Folk Dance Company, she has also directed her parish youth choir for over a decade and performed with orchestras like the San Miguel Philharmonic Orchestra, and Angono Symphonic Band.
Ma. Francesca Louise B. Mata
Francesca “Cheese” Mata, soprano, graduated summa cum laude from the UP College of Music with a degree in Voice under Prof. Ma. Cecilia “Bechie” Valeña, with a minor in Piano. An alumna of Miriam College and its Music Center’s Voice Program, she was a member of the award-winning MCHS Glee Club and later the UP Voice and Music Theater Guild. She has trained with leading artists and joined international masterclasses, and her credits include Candida in MAYO… Bisperas ng Liwanag and the Fairy Godmother in Princess Whatsername. In 2024, she made her professional theater debut with Repertory Philippines in Jepoy and the Magic Circle.
