Miriam College, through its ILAW Center, has formalized a strategic partnership with Marikina Valley Medical Center (MVMC) to expand access to mental health services for its employees and staff.
The partnership was officially sealed on April 7, 2026, during a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony held at the Art Gallery of Miriam College.
The MOA was signed by Mr. Joel I. Rodriguez, President and Chief Executive Officer of MVMC, and Dr. Maria Regina Lucia M. Lizares, President of Miriam College. Witnessing the signing were Ms. Karina Grace D. Primavera, Data Protection Officer and HR Manager of MVMC, and Dr. Noel C. Racho, Director for Human Resources of Miriam College.
Dr. Ronaldo A. Motilla, Head of the ILAW Center, provided the context for the initiative, underscoring the growing importance of accessible, institution-based mental health support and the collaborative effort behind the partnership.
The ceremony gathered key administrators and department heads from Miriam College, alongside representatives from MVMC, including members of its human resources team and medical staff—reflecting a shared institutional commitment to employee well-being.
This partnership marks a significant step in advancing mental health care within the academic community. It underscores both institutions’ dedication to fostering a supportive work environment and promoting holistic well-being among employees through accessible, professional mental health services.
