BACHELOR OF ARTS IN
Psychology
The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology program provides a scientific foundation in the study of human behavior and mental processes. The curriculum is structured to train students to analyze how these psychological dynamics are shaped by internal, relational, and societal factors. As an initial pathway into both academic scholarship and professional practice, the program equips students with the competencies needed to promote optimal functioning and well-being across individual, family, group, organizational, and community levels.
Program Outcomes
By the end of the program, graduates will be able to:
- Discuss and analyze the major theories and concepts in psychology and situate them with other social sciences.
- Demonstrate and apply the methods of psychological research to build knowledge of local culture and context.
- Demonstrate capability for self-reflection and independent learning in various professional contexts.
- Demonstrate the ability to conduct psychological assessment and evaluation.
- Demonstrate ability in human resource management and organizational analysis (e.g., Systems, application, and products).
- Demonstrate the ability to conduct basic psychosocial services (i.e., psychological first aid, mental health literacy, and group processing).
Key Competencies Developed
At the end of the BA Psychology program, students are expected to have a solid foundation in psychological theories, research, and practice. They develop skills in psychological assessment, research design, and data analysis, as well as competencies in human resource management and basic psychosocial services. Graduates are self-aware, ethical, and effective communicators who can work in diverse and multicultural settings.

These competencies can be assessed through a variety of methods, including:
- 1st Year: Quizzes, written exams, reflection papers, journals, class discussions, recitations, group presentations, midterm and final exam
- 2nd Year: Laboratory exercises, case analyses, short research projects, oral reports, concept papers, midterm and final exams
- 3rd Year: Psychological assessment activities, fieldwork or practicum reports, simulation exercises, role-plays, midterm and final exam
- 4th Year: Group thesis, internship evaluation, portfolio assessment, role-plays, midterm and final exam

Potential Careers
Graduates of the BA Psychology program can pursue various career paths in both professional and academic settings. They may work as licensed psychometricians, human resource specialists, guidance counselor assistants, research analysts, or psychology instructors. They can also take roles in training and development, organizational development, mental health advocacy, and community work. With their strong foundation in psychological theory, research, and practice, they are also well-prepared to pursue graduate studies in psychology, education, law, or management.
