Master of Education in
Early Childhood Education
The Master of Education in Early Childhood Education is a professional graduate degree program that prepares students to be dynamic, empathic, and innovative teacher leaders. Students gain a deeper understanding of children (birth to 8) through research, reflection, theory, and pedagogy.
The graduates are prepared to be early childhood teacher leaders, specialists or     consultants, curriculum or      instructional designers, both in formal and informal settings, who will make impactful transformations in the field of early childhood education.

2. Curriculum Design, Implementation, and Evaluation
- Curriculum design projects (lesson plans, unit plans)
- Peer review of designed curriculum
- Practicum-based evaluation of implemented lessons
- Rubric-based evaluation of a portfolio of instructional materials
3. Developmentally Appropriate Teaching and Assessment Practices
- Demonstration teaching/microteaching sessions

- Classroom environment design projects (with floor plans or prototypes)

The special project is practice-based where the student applies learned understandings, concepts, values, competencies, and skills on Special Education. Each student may choose to work on a project, or an action research related to the students’ field of specialization. All these with the guidance of a professor.

Graduates of the MOE ECE program may work as   Â
- Early Childhood Education Specialist / Consultant – advising schools, NGOs, or government agencies on curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment for young children
- ECE Program Director / Administrator – managing preschools, kindergartens, daycare centers, or early intervention programs
- Curriculum and Instructional Designer – creating developmentally appropriate learning materials and curricula for formal and informal settings
- Teacher Leader / Mentor – leading professional development, coaching, and mentoring for teachers in ECE
- Educational Researcher in ECE – conducting research and publishing work on early childhood learning, policy, and innovation
- Policy Advocate / Education Program Officer – working with advocacy groups, foundations, or government to shape policies that support children’s rights and access to quality early education
- University / College Faculty (ECE focus) – teaching and mentoring future teachers in higher education institutions
