Early Childhood Education + Postgraduate Degree Diploma in Adventure Education

The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education + Postgraduate Diploma in Adventure Education is a ladderized four-year program that integrates foundational knowledge in early childhood care and education with a specialized international qualification in Adventure Education.
The program equips students with a strong theoretical and practical grounding in early
childhood education, including hands-on experiences in applying developmentally appropriate practices. In its final phase, students transition into a globally recognized Postgraduate Diploma in Adventure Education through a partnership with Camosun College in Victoria, Canada. This diploma is fully integrated and validated as part of the degree, offering students both local expertise and international credentials in education and outdoor experiential learning.

- Second-Year Students: Curriculum development projects; Teaching demonstrations; Field study observations and participation; Collaborative projects; and Research proposals.
- Third-Year Students: Field-based practical assessments; Program design projects; Reflective practice assignments; and Leadership skill demonstrations.
- Fourth-Year Students: Field leadership assessments; Professional portfolio development; Research presentation; and Reflective writing and portfolios.
Potential Careers
Graduates of this program may venture on careers in a variety of sectors such as education, counseling, business or recreation in leadership or program design roles. The program is designed to prepare students for teaching and supporting young children’s development. It will prepare educators in bringing outdoor and adventure-based learning opportunities to those they serve in their distinct context/settings. A broad range of employment opportunities are available by fulfilling the degree requirements. Completion of the appropriate program will qualify graduates for employment in government or private institutions.
