International Business Administration with specialization in Marketing

The Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration with specialization in
Marketing and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration – Marketing Major [double
degree] provides learners with a depth of understanding of various marketing and organizational communication functions. Graduates will gain a broad range of marketing
management skills and techniques, including context for strategic management and planning, and opportunity to add depth in the areas of marketing communications management, sales management, and marketing analysis. Applied, experiential learning is an important and integrated part of the program. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities available to them to participate in an optional applied work experience during their program of study. Students of this program will graduate with a double degree in Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration with specialization in Marketing from Miriam College and Business Administration, Bachelor’s Degree – Marketing Major from Camosun College.
Program Outcomes

By the end of the program, graduates will be able to:
- Demonstrate Miriam College’s core values to seamlessly blend Filipino cultural principles with a global perspective, enabling adept leadership, authentic engagement, and selfless service to diverse communities;
- Integrate knowledge of marketing functions to meet business needs and goals;
- Create, implement, and evaluate an integrated marketing plan that reflects sound business, management and marketing concepts, principles, and practices;
- Use analytical strategies and data management principles in all aspects of marketing;
- Develop a broad range of skills and techniques to strategically plan, manage, and implement marketing programs;
- Drawing upon knowledge of business practices as well as the creative, analytical and team skills gained through their studies, students apply what they have learned to address marketing challenges for small businesses and non-profit organizations;
- Lead and collaborate with others in positive and constructive ways to achieve organizational marketing goals;
- Integrate knowledge of Indigenization, diversity, and inclusion in collaborating with others; and
- Demonstrate and model professional and ethical behaviour as a marketing
professional.
Key Competencies Developed
By the end of the program, graduates will be able to develop the following key competencies:
- Integrating business and leadership concepts, theories, and principles in a range of management environments and roles;
- Providing leadership in the accomplishment of organizational goals and the development, implementation and evaluation of strategy.
These competencies can be assessed through a variety of methods, including:
- First-Year Students: Case analysis, oral presentations, role-playing;
- Second-Year Students: Case analysis, simulation, research papers;
- Third-Year Students: Group projects, oral presentations, strategic plans; and
- Fourth-Year Students: Marketing plan, simulated interviews and consultations, business simulation.

- Marketing, Communications or Information Officers;
- Business Development Managers;
- Marketing Managers/Coordinators;
- Public Relations Officers, Research Officers;
