Global Affairs and Diplomacy
The Bachelor of Arts in Global Affairs and Diplomacy (BAGD) is a unique program that specializes in the analysis of political and economic issues and challenges contingent on humanitarian diplomacy. The program, through various theoretical and analytical frameworks, highlights the function of foreign policy, international laws, economic and humanitarian operations, area studies, and diplomatic negotiations.
Program Outcomes
By the end of the program, graduates will be able to
- Formulate research projects related to policy and program implementation in the fields of political economy and humanitarian diplomacy.
- Demonstrate written and communication skills through analytical reports.
- Develop network, interpersonal, organizational, and negotiation skills necessary for working in the fields of humanitarian, diplomatic, and private sectors.
- Propose alternatives to existing theories or practice (praxis), in relation to policy development.

These competencies can be assessed through a variety of methods, including the following:
- First-Year Students: Foundational written assignments, class discussions, and introductory simulations focusing on basic diplomatic concepts.
- Second-Year Students: Analytical essays, case studies, and small group projects applying regional and economic frameworks.
- Third-Year Students: Research papers, policy analysis, and participation in Model UN or similar diplomacy simulations.
- Fourth-Year Students: Thesis defense, internship performance, and capstone project presentations integrating academic and field experience.
This program opens doors to meaningful careers where graduates can serve the country, work abroad, or make a global impact. It is ideal for students who are curious about the world, passionate about helping others, and interested in leadership.
