On August 3, 2026, the Communication Society (COMMSOC) officially welcomed its newest and returning students through “You’ve Got a COMMARE in Me: Welcoming Batch 2026–2027,” a vibrant morning filled with games, meaningful conversations, and opportunities to connect with the many faces of the Communication Society.

The activity provided an engaging space for students to get to know one another, build connections, and discover the many opportunities available within the COMMSOC community. More than a welcome activity, it served as an avenue for students to feel a sense of belonging as they begin or continue their journey in the Communication program.

Together with COMMSOC’s sub-organizations—RADIO MC, MCINEMA, MCTV, Digital Creatives, and CCATT Singers—the event showcased the diverse talents, interests, and opportunities that make the Communication Society a dynamic and welcoming community.

Through the various activities and interactions, the students were given a glimpse of the many ways they can learn, create, communicate, collaborate, and connect. They were also introduced to spaces where they can discover their interests, develop their talents, strengthen their skills, and find their own place within the COMMSOC community.

True to its message of friendship and belonging, the activity emphasized that in this COMMunity, no one gets left behind—not a toy, and certainly not a COMMARE.
To the newest COMMARES, welcome home! Your COMΜ journey starts here, and there is an exciting world of possibilities waiting for you—to infinity and beyond
