July 23, 2026, marked a meaningful milestone for our newest Knollers as the HEU community warmly welcomed our freshies to campus for a day filled with learning, exploration, connection, and fun!

The morning began with an informative Freshmen Orientation, where important academic policies and the various student services available to support our students were discussed. The session was led by Mr. Ryan, Associate Dean for Academic Quality and Faculty Affairs, and Dr. Cheyenne, Associate Dean for Student Engagement, and the different head offices who helped our freshies gain a better understanding of the academic environment and the support systems available to them throughout their college journey. Adding energy to the morning program, students from Radio MC, Reiza De Guzman and Threexia Fajardo served as hosts, bringing their enthusiasm and Knoller spirit to the celebration.
The afternoon shifted from orientation to exploration and engagement, beginning with a campus tour. Our Council of Leaders warmly welcomed the freshies and served as usherettes, guiding them around the campus and helping them become more familiar with the different spaces and facilities that would soon become part of their college experience.
The day ended on a high note with a lively Mini Organization Fair, where student organizations and varsity teams prepared engaging and meaningful activities for the freshies. It was a wonderful opportunity for our newest Knollers to discover the different communities they could be part of, learn more about the organizations and sports teams, and explore opportunities where they could develop their interests, talents, leadership skills, and friendships.

Student leaders, organization officers, and varsity members enthusiastically took the opportunity to connect with the freshies and invite them to become part of their respective organizations and teams. More than a recruitment activity, the fair showed the many ways our students can belong, participate, lead, and make meaningful contributions to the HEU community.

The day was a beautiful reminder that being a Knoller is not only about what happens inside the classroom, it is also about finding your community, discovering your passions, building connections, and becoming an active member of a vibrant student community.
