From flexible hours to mental health support, discover how Miriam College embeds holistic wellness into every facet of institutional life.

At Miriam College, our commitment to sustainable development begins with our people. We believe that a thriving, resilient community is built on the foundation of individual well-being. This is why we advance UN Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being by weaving comprehensive wellness, safety, and work-life harmony into the very fabric of our Human Resource policies and daily practices.

Proactive Health: Prevention, Protection, and Security

We take a preventive approach to physical health, empowering our employees with the tools and security they need. Our initiatives include:

• Annual health screenings and vaccination drives for early risk detection and protection.

• Access to in-house fitness and wellness facilities to encourage an active lifestyle.

• Comprehensive HMO and accident insurance to ensure medical security and peace of mind.

Championing Mental and Psychosocial Well-Being

Understanding that well-being is holistic, we have established the ILAW mental health and psychosocial support program. This vital initiative provides:

• Confidential counseling services and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP).

• Regular mental health awareness campaigns and stress management training.

• Dedicated mental health leave to support recovery and self-care. These efforts actively promote emotional resilience, reduce stigma, and ensure timely support, with our progress tracked through participation and well-being surveys.

Building a Supportive and Flexible Work Environment

We prioritize a humane and adaptable workplace through structural policies that respect individual needs:

• Flexible Work Arrangements: Options including work-from-home, modified schedules, compressed workweeks, and banked hours help employees manage professional and personal responsibilities sustainably.

• Generous & Inclusive Leave Benefits: Beyond standard vacation leave, we offer unique provisions like Para Lang Sayo Leave, Ako Naman Leave, and Just in Case Leave, acknowledging the diverse realities of our employees’ lives.

• Family Support: On-site day care services provide crucial support for employees with young children.

• Safety and Dignity: Robust occupational health programs, regular safety training, and clear dignity-at-work policies ensure a physically and psychologically safe environment for all.

Our Commitment

Through Employee Care and Wellness Programs and accessible safe spaces, we foster a culture where every community member can thrive. These integrated, HR-led initiatives are designed to reduce stress, improve quality of life, and sustain long-term engagement.

By placing well-being at the heart of our operations, Miriam College does more than support a workforce—we nurture a community. This holistic approach is our tangible, measurable contribution to building a healthier, more resilient world, starting from within our own campus.
