The Maryknoll/Miriam College Alumni Association successfully launched its Centennial year with the MC100 Golf Cup, held at the prestigious Isao Aoki Course of Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club in General Trias, Cavite, last March 7, 2026.
Bringing together 100 players composed of alumni, family members, friends, and sponsors, the tournament served as the opening gathering of the alumni community in celebration of 100 years of Maryknoll education through Miriam College.
Set against the scenic fairways of the Aoki Course, the event unfolded under beautiful weather, creating the perfect setting for a memorable day of golf and fellowship. Beyond the competition on the greens, the tournament became a joyful reunion of generations of Maryknoll and Miriam alumni who came together to celebrate shared memories, enduring friendships, and a common legacy.
Adding inspiration to the day was the presence of several MC Junior Golfers, Akeisha Ando, Frances Bautista, and Sydney Eusebio, young athletes who have recently emerged as champions in various tournaments. Their participation highlighted the growing interest of the next generation in the sport and symbolized the passing of the torch to future golfers and leaders. Together with Mysty Mendoza (High School ’93), fondly known in the golf community as “The Fairway Tita,” the young golfers performed the ceremonial tee-off, a moment that brought smiles and cheers from the caddies and players gathered at the tee box.
The tournament concluded with the recognition of champions across the different divisions, celebrating both excellent play and the spirit of sportsmanship that defined the day. The following golfers emerged as champions in their respective divisions:
Juniors Division: Frances Bautista
Seniors Division: Ko Hyo Sug
Ladies Division: Carla Marie Lim
Men’s Division: Dexter Pelias
The successful staging of the MC100 Golf Cup sets the tone for a year of meaningful gatherings and celebrations among the Maryknoll/Miriam College alumni community. As the Centennial year unfolds, alumni proudly honor 100 years of Maryknoll education through Miriam College, and continue the tradition of learning, leading, and lighting the world.
