From buying me a Lisa Frank pencil to sending me to Miriam College, papa and mama worked hard to make sure that I live a decent life. They did not buy all of the designs, but growing up, they always made sure that I’d have enough.
Now, as I use one of my Lisa Frank pencils my parents bought for me when I was 9 to observe a Grade 3 English class, I feel that my life has come full circle in living out the Ideal of a Maryknoll Sister – Limpid Simplicity of Soul.
I’ll always and forever be grateful for the opportunity to give back and teach in my alma mater. I enjoy working with and learning from my former teachers. As they say, home is where the heart is. It is not a steady place, but a force that can be found wherever there is love. For me, I know this to be true, ever since the year 1992.
