QUEZON CITY, Philippines — Miriam College (MC) officially launched its centennial countdown on August 13, 2026, marking a monumental milestone in its century-long legacy of providing transformative Maryknoll education. Held from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the iconic Marian Auditorium, the event was simultaneously livestreamed across all MC campuses, Loyola Heights, MC Nuvali in Laguna, and MC Alviera in Pampanga bringing together students, faculty, administrators, staff, and alumni in a unified celebration.
The program opened with high energy and artistic excellence, featuring vibrant performances from MC’s premier performing arts groups: Company of One, Sayawatha Jr. (3rd Place, World Hip Hop Dance Championship Junior Division), and Sayawatha (Varsity Division Finalists). Their showcase set a celebratory tone, highlighting the rich talent and creative spirit that have long defined the Miriam College community.
Central to the event was an inspiring message from the College President, who reflected on the institution’s profound journey since its founding by the Maryknoll Sisters of New York in 1926. The address emphasized MC’s enduring commitment to its core values Truth, Peace, Justice, and the Integrity of Creation and its evolution into a dynamic, multi-campus educational system preparing future-ready leaders.
Attendees were also treated to the premiere of a special institutional video tracing the historic legacy of Miriam College, honoring the generations of educators, students, and leaders who built and sustained the institution over the last 100 years.

Henry Sy, Sr. Innovation Center (HSSIC)’s 10th Anniversary: Celebrating ten years of fostering innovation, creative design, and STEAM education within the school community.
The launch reached its climax with a collective 30-second countdown, officially starting the 30-day countdown leading to the grand centennial marking 100 years of Maryknoll-Miriam education.
As the countdown begins, Miriam College invites its entire global community of alumni, partners, and friends to join in the upcoming year-long festivities honoring a century of learning, service, and leadership.
